About Us

Buena Park Rotary is part of Rotary International, the world's first service club. Rotary Club was started in 1905 in the City of Chicago by Paul Harris. There are 33,000 Clubs worldwide with 1.3 million members.

The Buena Park Club's emphasis is serving youth. We sponsor activities from a chili cookoff team to speech contests. We send students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp each year. Our High School Interact and College Rotaract Clubs join with us in Community Service Projects.

We partner with other clubs from around the world and in Rotary International. The effort to eradicate polio is an on-going Rotary-led campaign. Rotarians have spearheaded and financed the Polio-Plus program. The time is near when Polio will be totally eliminated in the world.

Rotarians are men and women of good will with many vocations, faiths, languages, and nationalities. We all care about one another and the world. We have the motto "Service-above-Self." To learn more about Rotary you are welcome to attend our weekly meeting.
